Gudrun Johnston is celebrated for her modern yet timeless knitwear designs, beautifully rooted in her Shetland heritage. Featuring thoughtful colorwork, elegant construction, and a deep understanding of traditional techniques, her designs are beloved by knitters around the world. Now residing in Massachusetts, Gudrun frequently returns to Shetland to spend time with her family. In addition to Grand Shetland Adventure Knits, she is the author of The Shetland Trader Books One, Two and Three and Knit with Me: A Mother & Daughter Collection. Her new book (on vests) is scheduled for release by Laine this fall.
Presentation: A Wooly Adventure in Shetland
Gudrun will take us on a virtual journey to Shetland. We will learn about her connection to Shetland and her passion for knitting with Shetland wool. Gudrun will shared her insights on how to choose colors for traditional Fair Isle knitting, so that we feel confident in taking on our next colorwork project!
Gudrun will also give us an exclusive, behind-the-scenes glimpse into her upcoming book.

All knitted projects are welcome at Show and Tell. We can’t wait to see what you created since our last meeting. As always, only one Show and Tell item per meeting, please.
Bring a Guest
Guests are welcome! A guest’s first visit is free. Subsequent visits are $10, which may be applied to annual dues if paid on the meeting day.

Drop off the knitting you have done for charity since last we met. Or sit and knit at our Charity Knitting table with Charity Chair Barbara Beckley.
